Ecosystem
An ecosystem is a natural system composed of living organisms (plants, animals, bacteria, fungi, etc.) and their physical environment (air, water, soil, climate), which interact with each other and with their environment in a complex and balanced manner. The ecosystem provides vital services for the survival of the organisms that make it up and for humans, such as oxygen, water, food, and protection from external agents. Alteration of the natural balance of the ecosystem can cause problems for its survival and for the organisms that inhabit it, and therefore it is important to preserve and protect natural ecosystems.
