G20
The G20 (Group of Twenty) is an international forum composed of representatives of the governments and central banks of 19 countries plus the European Union, which represents one of the major economic powers in the world. The G20 was created in 1999 to promote economic and financial cooperation among its member countries and to address global economic issues. The G20 member countries represent around 90% of the global gross domestic product, 80% of global trade and two-thirds of the world’s population. The G20 meets annually to discuss global economic issues such as economic growth, trade, finance, and sustainable development.
